Wikipedia: Diamond Leaving 107.3 At End Of May? - 5/8 - UPDATED: From WRQX's Wikipedia entry on Thursday morning: "Mix 107.3 is... home of the 'Jack Diamond Morning Show.' Citadel Broadcasting has announced that Jack Diamond (right), who has been the morning host for the last 18 years, will be let go due to budget reasons. His final show will be on May 30, 2008. The syndicated 'Scott And Todd' show from sister station WPLJ in New York will replace Diamond." No confirmation from WRQX. And we're hearing that Citadel is denying the report. By the way, that Wikipedia paragraph mysteriously disappeared by midday Thursday. DCRTV has reported rumors that WRQX owner Citadel wants the highly-paid DC radio veteran gone. We've also reported rumblings that he's been involved in contract negotiations. Stay tuned.....
-- Delivered by Feed43 service

Rush Switches Sides In Dem "Chaos" Campaign - 5/7 - Righty talk radio titan Rush Limbaugh (left), between crowing about the success and attention of his "Operation Chaos," switched sides in the Democratic primary today. "I now urge the Democratic superdelegates to go publicly make your mind up for Obama," he said on his show, heard locally on WMAL and WCBM. Earlier, he said, "I'm now tempted to tell superdelegates to pick Obama because I now believe he would be the weakest nominee." Limbaugh had been urging his listeners to support Hillary as the only chance for Republican victory in November, and to extend the Democratic primary. Exit polls and anecdotes suggest that many did.
