Event Description: Lola LaBelle’s Burlesque Idol, the last Friday of every month at Madame Jojo's An Evening of Award-Winning Comedy and the UK's Fastest Rising Burlesque Starlets Tassel-Twirling Their Way to Victory! From the glorious House of Burlesque, Burlesque Idol is London's biggest burlesque spectacular, featuring a dazzling array of budding burlesque talent. Each month's lineup includes a carefully selected group of the UK's most talented up-and-coming performers, award-winning comedians, and top international burlesque professionals weighing in on who should be the next superstar. Upon entry each guest receives a ballot, and the chance to see your choice make it to the final competition. While the votes are counted, guest performers from the panel of judges take to the stage to entertain the crowd, along with special guest comedians. A high-energy and deliciously entertaining evening, this show is jam packed with talent, humour and audience participation! Each show also includes a complimentary Burlesque Class courtesy of the House of Burlesque. The class is from 6-6.30pm. You sit down to a full spread of afternoon tea and are interrupted in the nicest possible way by stunning burlesque and cabaret performances. Tickets for Afternoon Tease! are £42, this includes full afternoon tea and a table for the afternoon. While we don't impose a dress code for Afternoon Tease! people can and do dress up in their feathers and finery which we think is brilliant! We hold Afternoon Tease! on the first and third Saturdays of the month and on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at Volupté near Chancery Lane in London. Event Description: The Femdom Munch takes place on the last Sunday every month in a friendly environment, a setting that leaves room for conversations and added Ds. As we are in a vanilla venue and this is a munch, there won't be any play or dressing up permitted. However, the dynamics of Ds which are typical for the Femdom Lifestyle are more than welcome. Even in vanilla situation, subs often "serve" the Dommes in a polite way, which is a sign of respect rather than play. We want to offer an environment where people can discuss Femdom & everything related openly, where questions can be asked or topics raised without fear or reason to feel ashamed, where we can share experiences, but also just converse and at the same time enjoy the Ds element of the Femdom lifestyle. Subs can for example offer to get drinks for dommes, but we are talking about the serving side of things here, not the financial side! If a sub offered a domme a drink and also offered to pay for that drink and this was ok by the domme, it is absolutely fine of course. However, no subs should think they have to pay for the dommes and no domme should expect to be paid for. As this is a Femdom munch, the Dominants should identify as female and the subs be attracted to these. The Femdom munch is not a club or playparty, no dating environment, no pick up place for either pro-dommes or clients (pro-dommes who are also lifestylers are very welcome of course!) but an event to socialise with other people interested in the Femdom Lifestyle! Event Description: Finger in the Pie Cabaret celebrates 5th Year! Finger in the Pie Cabaret Showcase will be entering it's fifth year this February. Since we launched the showcase in February 2007 we've seen some of the biggest names in UK cabaret grace our stage, not to mention having given many of them their first break into the cabaret world! Our first show of 2011 will be no exception - Our resident comperes Moonfish Rhumba will be back to present a spectacular line-up including: a homage to The Hoff courtesy of comedian Adam Oliver; performance poetry from George Keeler; music from celebrated chanteuse Misty Lee; the comedy madness of Michelle Pompidoodoodoo and Dr. Ana Esmith; contortion and dance from performance artists Nomade; not to mention burlesque from the beautiful Kitty Devine, Aurora Galore, Ruby Jewel, Georgia Honey, Miss Bruise Violet and Natalya Umanska. Since we first launched Finger in the Pie Cabaret in 2007 we've showcased over 450 different performers: artist who've made their debut at Finger in the Pie Cabaret include the sensational Bourgeois and Maurice, the irrepressible Myra Dubois and burlesque starlet Banbury Cross.
