On the edge of 2008, a new version of pnCPG get's released. The goal was to allow different independant galleries within one Postnuke/Zikula site. pnCPG5.00 is driven by config files which means that you can support unlimited instances of Coppermine.
This also valid for each block.
Feature freeze stage for cpg1.5.x

The Coppermine dev team has decided to let the feature freeze stage for cpg1.5.x start on 2008-12-15. This means that from that date on there will be no new features added to cpg1.5.x. Instead, the bugs will be hunted and fixed, and the preparation of an initial release for testers and translators will start.
If you're looking forward to become a tester for the new version, please make sure to review this page frequently - there will be an announcement soon when the actual alpha package will be released. Please do not clutter the support board yet with questions on the upcoming release.
-- Delivered by Feed43 service

Spammers wanted

The staff of the coppermine support board would like to say a big "thank you" to all the spammers out there. You manage to register and drop your crap (online pharmacy, porn links, affiliate programs) by the dozen each and every day. Yet your postings have an average time to live of less than 10 minutes before they get caught by moderators and deleted and your accounts get suspended. You really need a lot of luck to have the google spider visit within that short 10 minutes period. Your postings have an average hit counter of 1.1 - that's usually one hit by the moderator who deletes you and only a very small chance of a user to click your links. Why don't you stop wasting precious efforts? Go play somewhere else. Or get a decent job. Anyway, you probably won't, so let's continue to play. I wonder who will get tired first. There are thousands of you, but only a few of us, yet we win each day. Yeah, I know - you probably won't read this news record and continue dumping your lame spam. I wonder what you tell your wives when you get home in the evening, after having molested millions of people - do you continue lying? Or do you tell your sweetie "honey,I had a hard time posting all that crap"? You probably don't have wives... Nor do you have friends, at least none who know what you're doing for a living. Have a nice life! I would hate myself if I were you...
-- Delivered by Feed43 service
