Shrek celebrated a year on Broadway on November 8. The musical, which follows the adventures of a swamp-dwelling ogre and a host of fairy-tale creatures, made merry with Crumbs cupcakes on stage at the Broadway Theatre before the matinee.

The 59th Annual Outer Critics Circle Award nominations were announced April 20. SHREK THE MUSICAL and BILLY ELLIOT both earned the most with ten nominations each, including Best Musical.

The stars of the new hit Broadway show SHREK THE MUSICAL; Brian D'Arcy James (Shrek), Sutton Foster (Fiona), Christopher Sieber (Lord Farquaad) and Daniel Breaker (Donkey); appeared at Border's at Time Warner Center on Tuesday, March 25th to sign copies of the new original Broadway cast album.

Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, currently starring in SHREK THE MUSICAL at the Broadway Theatre, releases her debut solo recording Feb. 17 on the Ghostlight Records label. Entitled "Wish," the 15-track CD was produced by Joel Moss and co-produced by Michael Rafter. Executive producers are Kurt Deutsch and actress-singer Foster, whose original artwork is featured in the CD package.

Since debuting opposite Betty Buckley in 1997's Triumph of Love, Christopher Sieber has carved a wide swath on Broadway, equally adept at playing the dashing prince as he is the comic sidekick and earning a Tony Award nomination in 2005 for his performance in Spamalot. Taking on a regally hammy role like Lord Farquaad in SHREK THE MUSICAL might've seen like easy money for Sieber.
