And were back! Server issues = FAIL

So apparently there was an issue with the Activity Mod on the forum that caused the database to fail and crash. The site has been reverted to a backup from 7/22/10 so everything from that date until now has been lost. This includes all threads/posts/private messages/new registrations etc.

Everything is all up and running now and business will continue as usual. The repo is up and running 100% as well.

Just in time for that damn iPhone 4 Jailbreak which should be just right around the corner

iH8sn0w, the guy behind Sn0wbreeze, a Windows based jailbreaking tool is about to release an update version of Sn0wbreeze which can be used to Jailbreak iOS 4.1, iOS 4.0.1, iOS 4.0 and iPhone OS 3.1.x. Sn0wbreeze v2.0 can be used to Jailbreak iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 3G and iPod touch 2G running on iOS 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.1b1 and iPhone OS 3.1.x.

For those of you who haven�t heard about Sn0wbreeze, it is a Jailbreaking tool similar to PwnageTool. PwnageTool is meant for Mac users where as Sn0wbreeze is meant for Windows users. Using sn0wbreeze you can create custom IPSW files that can be used to jailbreak iPhone and iPod Touch.

Jailbreak iOS 4.1 with Sn0wbreeze [Custom Firmware Windows]

Sn0wbreeze 1.8 has been released. This is by the same developer who is behind other popular iPhone jailbreak tools such as sn0wbreeze 1.6 and 1.7 for iOS 4, sn0wbreeze for iPhone 3.1.3, f0recast and BlackBreeze. Just like the PwnageTool for Mac, Sn0wbreeze 1.8 can jailbreak iPhone 3GS (old bootrom, and already pwned on iOS 4.x), iPod touch 2G (non MC model) and iPod touch 3G on iOS 4.1 Beta. iPhone 3G users will have to jailbreak using Redsn0w, guide for which is posted here.

So if you have a Windows machine, you can use Sn0wbreeze 1.8 to create custom firmware files without the upgraded baseband. Again, only the following devices are supported.

Unlock iOS 4.0.1 with Ultrasn0w [How to Guide]

iOS 4.0.1 was released earlier today for iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G. Fortunately for all iPhone unlockers, the baseband wasn’t upgraded from 05.13.04, which means you can unlock your iPhone even on iOS 4.0.1. Since currently there is no jailbreak tool available for iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS (new bootrom), and the current jailbreak tools for iPhone 3GS (old bootrom) are not compatible with iOS 4.0.1, so the only device which can be currently be jailbroken and unlocked on iOS 4.0.1 is iPhone 3G.

Step 1: Follow the complete guide posted here to jailbreak your iPhone 3G using Redsn0w 0.9.5b5-5 on iOS 4.0.1.
