Feb. 21: Minesweeper

I cannot believe I have not updated the site for so long. Well, here is something new: a minesweeper program I wrote. No, it does not actually detect and disarm mines. It is the computer game where you try to identify "mines" in a matrix of cells, you know, the game that comes with Windows that you never play. This is the same thing, except it is made by me!

Sep. 2: Panorama Showcase

After I bought my new camera last year, I started experimenting with a lot of new photographic techniques. One in particular was panorama. Now, I have collected some of the best panoramas I have created so far and posted large versions of them on this page so you can examine each panorama in detail. Enjoy!

Sep. 1: Lynn Canyon

There is one more web album for this summer containing pictures I took at Lynn Canyon Park, my favorite place to be in Vancouver. (Actually, it is in North Vancouver, but close enough.) This album has, in my opinion, the best panoramas I have ever created. The largest one is stitched together from seven individual photographs.

To make up for the lack of updates in the past several months, I am posting a whole bunch of new web albums, all from my summer vacation. The first series contains pictures from my Yellowstone trip (in seven albums); the second series contains pictures from this year's firework displays in Vancouver (in four albums).

Jan. 13: Loading icon

I put an animated loading icon in the background of the header graphic so that you, the readers, will have something to look at when the picture is loading. Of course, if you have a blazingly fast Internet connection, you will never get to see the icon.

Jan. 12: Validated!

I have finally had all pages validated by the W3C. It took me a lot of work to correct all the syntax errors in the codes, but it was worth the effort to clean up the house.

The search bar is now activated. I linked the website to the Google Search Engine so that the search is powered by Google (good thing) and customized the result page so that it looks like part of the website (even better).

Jan. 4: SSI

I have restructured the website with SSI (Server Side Includes). It should now be clearer and more organized (and easier for me to update!). If you have a link to the website from before, you should replace the extension ".html" with ".shtml". I have also renamed the main menubar items and many sidebar items so that they sound formal instead of goofy.

Dec. 25: It's Christmas

So it is Christmas, and what have you done? Well, I changed the header design, so now when you load any page, a random photograph is displayed. You can see all of them at once at the header graphic library.
I also want to share with you one of my favorite Christmas songs. No, it is not one of the annoying jingles that you hear on the radio every December. It is a beautiful and touching song called "Sister Winter" by one of my favorite indie artists, Sufjan Stevens. You can download the song in mp3 for free directly from the website of Sufjan's label, Asthmatic Kitty (so it is all nice and legal). Here is the link: Sufjan Stevens - Sister Winter.
